Durability and Care
The long lifespan of our furniture is a central component of our commitment to sustainability. Faust linoleum tabletops are designed and manufactured to last for decades. With proper care, you can help preserve the quality and beauty of your linoleum tabletop for years to come.
Daily Care and Thorough Cleaning
For regular cleaning, it’s usually sufficient to wipe down linoleum and wood veneer surfaces with a clean cloth. For heavier soiling—such as grease or other residues—we recommend cleaning with a slightly damp cloth. If stains persist, a mild cleaning agent can be used. Apply the cleaner to the surface, let it sit for a moment, and then wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. To occasionally refresh linoleum or wood veneer, a small amount of conditioning oil can be applied as needed. This enhances the surface’s natural luster and preserves its durability.
What to Avoid
Cleaning agents containing strong solvents such as mineral spirit, acetone, or nail polish remover should not be used, as they can damage the surface. Disinfectants should also be tested on an inconspicuous area first before use. If you want to place terracotta, clay, or metal objects on a linoleum surface, we recommend using coasters to prevent potential discoloration.
Linoleum is generally very durable and can withstand contact with acidic liquids such as coffee or lemon juice. However, such liquids should not be left on the surface for extended periods, as they can cause stains. Additionally, contact with strong adhesives, such as superglue, should be avoided. Wet, colored paper may also leave permanent stains under certain circumstances.
Natural Patina and Aging
Natural materials, such as linoleum and wood surfaces, change naturally over time and develop a unique patina that gives each piece of furniture its own character. Small inclusions in the material are also natural features and are comparable to the grain of wood.
Light on weight. Heavy on stability.
The table’s lightweight yet extremely sturdy construction is based on the tried-and-true Rowac-Schemel. This design has been tested and refined over more than 100 years to achieve unrivalled durability. Despite weighing just 4 kg, the table frame boasts impressive load-bearing capacity and can easily support fifty times its own weight.
Easy assembly. Endless utility.
The table can be assembled and disassembled quickly and easily. Threaded sockets recessed into the tabletop ensure a durable, endlessly repeatable assembly. With just five screws per leg, the table is ready for use in under five minutes using the included Allen key.
